Your safety is important to us. Every year around 20 people die in UK because of faulty gas appliances. 

Your annual Gas check is compulsory, and this is how we make sure your heating system/boiler is working safely. But you have to get your own gas cooker checked, unless we provided it as part of your tenancy. 

  • Our contractor will send you an appointment for one of their Gas Safe registered engineers to visit. You can change to a more convenient day by phoning 01294 468 113. 

  • PLEASE NOTE if you have a prepayment meter, it must have some credit at the time of the visit so that the safety tests can be done.   

  • The visit will take around 45 mins and you will be left with a copy of the inspection sheet. If any work needing done requires parts to be ordered, the contractor may have to come back. 

What if we don’t get in? 

This is so important that we may have to force access if you do not co-operate with us. 

Every 5 years we do an Electrical safety check on your home. 

  • Our contractor will send you an appointment for an electrician to visit. You can change to a more convenient day if wished.

  • This is a thorough check and may take up to 3 hours.

  • Your cooker is not included unless we provided it as part of your tenancy.

  • You will be sent a copy of the inspection sheet. If any work needing done requires parts to be ordered, the contractor may have to come back.
