Paisley Housing Association has over 1200 properties to rent located within the Foxbar, Glenburn, South, West and Town Centre areas of Paisley. These properties are a mix of tenement flats, own door flats, high rise flats and terraced houses Click here for details of all of our properties. The Association has a letting standard for the properties we let Click here for this information.

On average, the Association has around 125 homes becoming available for re-let each year.

Who can apply for Housing

Anyone aged 16 or over may apply to the Association. Our Allocations Policy is a Group and Priority system, where applicants are placed in a group and given a priority based on their housing needs.

If you wish to apply for housing with our Association, please call 0141 840 5014 to speak with Lesley Forsyth.

Click here to view a full copy of our Housing Allocations Policy. The Association as part of FLAIR (Federation of Local Associations in Renfrewshire) is currently working in partnership with Renfrewshire Council towards having a common Allocations Policy throughout our organisations.

Processing your application

We no longer as standard send out housing application forms, instead we ask you to come into our office for a Housing Options appointment. If you are disabled or live out with 60 miles of our office, we will send you an application form but will carry out a Housing Options appointment with you by telephone.

When you apply for a house, your application will be processed and the information you provide will be used to assess your housing needs. We would normally process this within 10 calendar days and you will receive a letter detailing the Group, Priority, Award date, House Size and Areas you are being considered for.

Mutual Exchanges

You can also request to exchange your home by mutual agreement with either another Paisley HA tenant, another Housing Association tenant or a Council tenant.

We use House Exchange which is a Mutual Exchange online service for this. House Exchange gives those tenants interested in a Mutual Exchange in Renfrewshire a wider range of options. Once registered you have access to all those applicants who are also looking to exchange.

If you live out with Renfrewshire and wish to move to a property within Renfrewshire you can still use this service but there will be a charge for registration.

You can register your property on the Housing Exchange website by yourself. To register on the website click here and follow the step by step process. Alternatively if you do not have access to the internet you can register your property in person at the House Exchange Shop located at 7A Moss Street, Paisley. The shop is open to the public Monday – Thursday 9.30am to 4pm and Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm (closing for lunch 12pm-1pm daily) If you would like further information on any properties currently advertised on House Exchange or for information on how the shop works, you can visit the shop or contact them directly by telephoning 0300 300 0222
