New Build Development, East King Street, Helensburgh

Dunbritton’s recent housing development in East King Street, Helensburgh was formally opened on 26th June by Councillor Gary Mulvaney and local lollipop lady Effie Walker. The development is a mix of 24 one and two bedroomed flats and was named Walker Court after a local school competition where pupils decided to call the development after their long serving lollipop lady Effie.

Dunbritton HA would like to thank Persimmon Homes for building the flats and the funding organisations CAF Bank, the Scottish Government and Argyll & Bute Council’s Strategic Housing Fund which enabled the development to go ahead: The total Cost of the development (including fees and associated costs) is: £2,974,352.  [£1,429,584 of this is from the Scottish Government; £1,016,768.00 from the Council’s Strategic Housing Fund and £528,000 private finance from CAF Bank.]

When the funding approval was given, this was the first loan made to a housing association in Scotland by CAF Bank and we are grateful to them for their support.  Also, once again we are pleased and grateful for the grant funding from Argyll & Bute Council and Scottish Government without which this this project would not have gone ahead.

Succoth, Arrochar

Succoth, Arrochar is a development of 26 houses and flats and is expected to be on site in January 2017 with a completion date of March 2018. The properties have been designed by CP Architects and will be built by CCG Scotland Ltd. The designs incorporate a new closed panel system which reduces the on-site construction time, although infrastructure works including work to the access road in to Succoth means the overall contract duration is extended.

Helensburgh Golf Club

DHA is now negotiating with Taylor Wimpey in connection with a development of 70 homes. This scheme is part of a bigger project involving a partnership with the golf club and Taylor Wimpey.
